After the arrest of iBomma Ravi, there was widespread belief that online piracy would see a sharp decline. Many in the industry hoped that Telugu film piracy—especially during the crucial Sankranthi season—would finally come under control, with festival releases enjoying some much-needed protection.

However, those hopes have now been dashed. Piracy continues to plague the industry, and Sankranthi releases have once again fallen prey. A high-quality HD print of The Raja Saab has surfaced online, sending shockwaves across Tollywood.

What has raised even greater concern is the nature of the leak. The pirated version does not resemble a theatre-recorded copy; instead, it appears to be a direct server-side leak. Adding to this suspicion is the presence of an additional eight-minute sequence featuring Prabhas’ old get-up. This scene was not part of the film on its opening day and was added only from yesterday evening, clearly indicating that the leak occurred just hours ago.

The timing of the leak could not have been worse. The Raja Saab had already faced box-office setbacks, with premieres cancelled in the Nizam region following Telangana High Court orders. Producers also announced that from Monday onwards, the film would be screened at normal ticket prices. In such a fragile situation, the resurgence of piracy has become a serious cause for concern.

Meanwhile, Prabhas fans have stepped up voluntarily to combat piracy. They are actively reporting illegal links across platforms and urging audiences to avoid pirated content, standing in support of the film and the industry at large.
