For the past couple of weeks, speculation has been swirling around the political future of KCR’s daughter, K. Kavitha. The buzz first picked up momentum after she penned a strongly worded letter to her father, followed by the launch of Singareni Jagruthi — an initiative many interpreted as a signal that she may be preparing to chart her own political course outside of the BRS party.
Adding fuel to the fire, a prominent Telugu media outlet published a report claiming that Kavitha is in touch with Congress leadership and is considering switching sides. The report further stated that she had initiated contact with Telangana Congress leaders through a mediator. However, it was also mentioned that the Congress leadership is reportedly hesitant, as they prefer to stay away from the internal politics of the KCR family.
In a swift and strong rebuttal, Kavitha addressed the claims head-on by sharing the newspaper clipping on her social media. She questioned the ethics of the publication, expressing outrage at how such claims were made without even attempting to reach out to her for clarification.
“Is it journalism to write such baseless news without speaking to the concerned person? Or is it plain sadism?” she asked, making her frustration evident.
While it has always seemed unlikely that Kavitha would step away from the BRS to pursue an independent path, politics is full of surprises, and nothing can be ruled out completely. For now, she has firmly denied any talks with Congress and labeled the reports as false. However, given the current political climate, all eyes will continue to be on her next move.
