After facing an unexpected defeat in the Dubbaka by-polls, the KCR has been very alert about the upcoming GHMC elections where the BJP seems to be cruising towards another victory, clinical this time. Hence the TRS is getting back to its trump card in twin cities, MIM.
The TRS hopes to repeat the results of the last election. To this extent it has already brought local leaders and ministers into the field. On the other side KCR and KTR are strategizing politically while government schemes are reaching out to the people. The Chief Minister is in talks with the leaders in Pragati Bhavan with his allies. They are very determined to win the election anyway.
In that order, KCR met MIM chief, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. It seems that a number of key issues came to the force during their meeting which was held on Thursday as a platform for progress. The strategies to be followed in the GHMC elections in particular, it seems, have not been discussed at length on the adjustment of seats. It is known that TRS won 99 and MIM 40 seats for a total of 150 seats in the last elections.
It is very important for the both parties to achieve the same results this time as well. It is unknown at this time whether they both form an alliance or contest individually. Meanwhile, the sector is gearing up for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. The State Election Commission plans to hold GHMC elections in the first week of December.
On the other hand, the GHMC elections are considered very ambitious by the ruling party as well as the opposition. The Opposition Congress has already held meetings at times. The BJP also stormed into the race in the wake of Dubbaka’s victory. Their president Bandi Sanjay has already announced that their goal is to win 75 seats in Greater Hyderabad. Sanjay says that Dubbaka’s victory has doubled their enthusiasm and they will succeed in Greater in the same spirit.
