The Telangana CM KCR is currently going through a litmus test given the fact that it is a new state and a new administration. So far, he has been doing a good job but it is heard that recently he did something that caught many by surprise. Apparently, a request went to KCR in the form of an initiative called Project Chaitra. Even a video was published to this effect.
Well, the request is that, every area in the state must have one lady DSP, one fast court and a special protection cell for women. In that process, a number 181 has been formed for addressing women related issues. Any rape incident or eve teasing means you can dial 181 and report. This project was presented to KCR and he immediately welcomed it. In no time, he summoned the women protection related bureaucrats and the DGP and asked how long it would take to get the system into effect.
They said two months and KCR reportedly said “I want this at any cost, so go ahead.” Sources reveal this initiative would cost Rs 35 crores per year. According to KCR, anywhere if there is rapists and eve teasers then show no mercy. Telangana should become the safest place for women. In that, he didn’t waste a minute and took a very fast decision. Kudos to KCR!
