The European variety Kheera vegetable grown in the farm house owned by Telangana CM KCR at Erravelli village in his native Medak district, is now entering into Andhra Pradesh markets as well.This new variety has been famous as KCR Kheera in Telanagana and particularly in Hyderabad as people liked the green vegetable used in salads. Traders said that after tasting this new variety of kheera, Andhra people living in hyderabad too have started buying them and it resulted in a huge demand for the new variety.
After coming to know the health benefits of the Kheera, some Andhraites residing in Andhra Pradesh also requested the traders to make the KCR Kheera available in the rythu bazaars in Vijayawada and other big cities.
Capsicum, tomato and ginger and other vegetables are also grown in KCR’s farmhouse in hygienic conditions using advanced technology. KCR prefers to stay at his farm house during the weekends and oversee the arrangements for vegetable cultivation using drip and micro irrigation facility.
