The Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has got a style and path of his own and at this point in time, no one dare say anything to him. He has been quite popular for his offensive statements and also for his fanatical anti-Andhra feeling. This was once again revealed during the ongoing assembly session. One of the topics was about the shooting incident at KBR Park involving chief of Aurobindo Pharma Nithyananda Reddy.
Referring to that, KCR stated it as Banjara Hills Park. When someone from behind corrected him as KBR Park, KCR didn’t hesitate to say “We cannot take his name.” There is a reason behind that. KBR stands for Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and he was the CM of Andhra Pradesh during the 1969 Telangana agitation.
It is heard that around 369 people lost their lives during that agitation and KBR put an iron foot on the movement and quashed it. The impact is such that KCR doesn’t even want to take his name. But being a CM, such gestures and that too in assembly set a negative precedence, say many political analysts.
