The political scenario in Telangana had changed at once after the opposition parties in the state as the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) became strong. The BJP won two by-elections as a major embarrassment to the ruling outfit. To counter the opposition parties, CM KCR is said to be thinking of going for his old idea.
KCR had surprised everyone by going for the early elections in 2018. Despite various parties coming together, the early elections did wonders for the party and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) party rose to power. Now KCR is likely to implement the same, as per the reports.
To counter BJP and Congress that are going aggressively in the state, CM KCR is reportedly focusing on two issues. One is to bring more flagship schemes on the lines of Dalit Bandhu that will satisfy the other communities and then call for the early elections. The government is aiming to bank on the welfare schemes.
The reports of the early elections started as CM KCR will start a political tour in the state covering various regions. As part of the tour, he will start a few developmental works and inaugurate a few works. The Chief Minister will also use the opportunity to hand over the benefits for beneficiaries of the scheme. Looking at these developments, the experts are predicting that the 2018 scene might repeat in Telangana.
