TRS party supremo and Telangana Chief Minister KCR is a worried man these days. When the Dubbaka By-polls heat is getting one his head, he has this rift with both the Andhra Pradesh and center. KCR still feels that it is the AP government that acts aggressively in the ongoing water controversy between the two Telugu states and accuses the center of their differential stand.
Now, everyone thought that after these comments from KCR, the soon-to-be held apex council is going to be exciting. KCR seems to have convinced everyone about his stand that he has ordered the authorities to have a similar Telangana argument in the council as well. But, the inside sources say that KCR is not in a mood to go against Jagan Mohan Reddy at any cost.
It is being said that, with by-polls on line, his target is BJP and he will reach out to any extent to accuse the center of this situation but won’t mess with the AP CM in this crucial stage. Although KCR wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi seven years ago on water allocations, there is no proper response from the center and that might be the point that KCR wants to highlight in the apex council.
The state of Telangana is formed on June 2, 2014, within a period of twelve days, that is, on June 14, KCR wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, reminding him that water allocations should be made between the two Telugu states. He said that under Section 3 of the Interstate Water Disputes Act 1956, he had said that allocations should be made either by setting up a special tribunal or by an existing tribunal.
Seven years later, KCR says that he is angry at the Prime Minister’s failure to respond to a letter he wrote himself. Now, Jagan got saved big time for KCR’s rage but no one knows which spark from KCR lits up Jagan’s fortune in the future as the AP CM is standing on the edge of the sword in this water controversy.
