Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appears to be terribly worried over the increasing number of cases and deaths of Coronavirus in the state.
With as many as 28 fresh cases and two deaths due to Coronavirus being reported on Sunday, KCR called for an urgent meeting with officials late in the night and instructed that they should go all out to prevent the spread of the diseases, even if it requires testing of all the people with any diseases.
According to a CMO spokesman, the chief minister was worried over the reports that the Corona virus is spreading and not stopping.
“The situation is scary in the neighbouring Maharashtra state. There is an increase in positive cases all over the country. Death toll also increased,” he said.
The chief minister, who issued a government order late in the night extending the lockdown period till April 30, said the people should understand intensity of the situation.
“Confine to homes as much as possible. In case if people need to go out, maintain social distancing strictly. Personal hygiene is a must. In case if anyone has any doubts go for the tests,” he told the people.
The government has identified the places where there were corona virus positive cases and special measures have taken in those places.
“People should cooperate to these measures. To prevent the spread of corona, measures taken by the government alone are not sufficient. People should follow the instructions and guidelines given by the government to the last letter and spirit, which will only help prevent the spread of virus,” he said.
He asked the officials to be on high alert and conduct tests on all the people whoever showed symptoms.
“Collect data with whom all the Corona Virus positive patients met and interacted and find out where they went. Conduct tests for them,” he said.
The chief minister also instructed the authorities to increase checks at the inter-state borders and step up restrictions. Identification of those went for Marquz prayers and conducting tests on them is going ahead. In case if someone failed undergo the tests, they should come forward voluntarily and subject themselves to the tests.
