Finally at long last, Telangana CM KCR has announced that there were 91142 vacancies in the state and that notification would be immediately issued for 80039 posts. KCR has also announced that notification would be issued for the first ever time for the Group 1 posts. He has also announced that the 11103 contract employees would be regularized.
Highly placed sources say that this announcement is based on the advice by poll wizard Prashant Kishor. PK has reportedly told KCR that the maximum discontent against KCR in Telangana is due to the failure to provide government jobs. The survey reports indicated that youth are completely alienated from the TRS because of the problem of unemployment.
It is also being seen as an indication that soon after issuing the notification, KCR will start preparing for the 2023 assembly elections. This could become a powerful poll plank for KCR and the TRS. It will also rob the steam off the opposition campaign. Revanth Reddy is especially focusing on the issue of unemployment. Hence, Revanth would be robbed off this poll plank.
But will just about a year to go for the elections, will the government be able to fill these posts? Assuming that there is no advancement of elections, the poll code is likely to set in by September next year. This only means that these jobs will have to be filled before the poll code sets in. this means the jobs will have to be filled by August next year. Will the government be able to do that?
