Andesri’s passing is far from an ordinary loss. As the writer of the Telangana state anthem and a widely respected poet—despite having no formal education—he commands heartfelt respect from the industry.
It was also MM Keeravani who composed the tune for Andesri’s iconic anthem, making their collaboration culturally significant. Yet, many are questioning why there has been no tweet, post, or condolence message from Keeravani, viewing it as a surprising lack of basic gratitude.
Social media users have recalled how Andesri had supported Keeravani when public backlash erupted over the tune of “Jaya Jayahe Telangana,” defending him during a sensitive period. Andesri himself faced criticism for why a Telangana-based composer wasn’t chosen for such an important state song.
While Andesri’s connection to the anthem was deeply emotional, some feel Keeravani’s link may have been more professional and transactional. In this context, a few observers are even questioning whether the larger Rajamouli family operates with a primarily commercial mindset, seemingly detached from human emotions.
