There is casting couch in this film industry and no one can deny it. A lot of women who enter the film industry with a lot of dreams were scarred for life due to this horrible experience. Many actresses came out during the #MeToo movement and opened up about the worst experiences they endured during the initial stages of their careers. This created a lot of quakes in the film industry and the casting couch is still prevalent in the industry which is quite devastating.
Recently, star heroine and National Award winner Keerthy Suresh was asked whether casting couch exists in the industry and did she face any such bad experiences. The ‘Mahanati’ actress stated, “Many heroines told me about the casting couch. They also described their experiences. But till now I have not had that experience. Maybe that commitment proposal will come based on our behavior! What if someone asks me for a commitment? I would say no. It doesn’t matter if movies go away because of saying that. I will go and do some other job. Keerthi Suresh clarified that I will commit myself for opportunities.”
Her comments have gone viral on social media right now. Currently, Keerthy Suresh is working with Nani in a rustic mass film named ‘Dasara’. She will be seen as the sister of Chiranjeevi in ‘Bholaa Shankar’ as well. Apart from these two Telugu projects, she is playing the female lead in Tamil movies titled ‘Maamannan’ and ‘Siren’.
