“KGF Chapter 2” is one of the biggest movies to come out to the theaters this year. A true pan-Indian movie from the Kannada film industry!
The Yash-starrer had just now closed its overseas deal. Phars Films, one of the big players of overseas business, bought the film for an astronomical price.
The company also reportedly closed a deal with Prabhas’s “Salaar”. Both “KGF 2” and “Salaar” are bankrolled by Hombale Films. So, the deal was done for a huge amount.
The company already paid huge sums of advance payment to the production house.
Phars Films earlier bought the rights of Rajamouli’s “RRR” for a whopping Rs 65 crore. The advance payment for “KGF 2” and “Salaar” is bigger than this.
The players in the overseas business have come down drastically due to heavy losses and the COVID-19 crisis. So, Phars is taking advantage of the situation.
