Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated collaboration with visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, tentatively titled SSMB29, has been creating a massive buzz even in its early stages. According to sources, the unit had initially planned to shoot a high-octane action sequence in the dense forests of Kenya, with Mahesh Babu and the core team expected to travel there in the second week of July.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing political unrest and security concerns in Kenya, Rajamouli has decided to shelve the plan entirely. Known for his meticulous planning and deep sense of responsibility, the filmmaker didn’t want to risk the safety of the cast and crew. Despite all preparations being in place and Mahesh Babu being ready for the schedule, the shoot was cancelled just days before departure.

With the Kenya schedule officially off the table, the team is now working on alternate plans to shoot the same sequence elsewhere. This sudden change might affect the overall timeline of the project, which has already progressed at a slower pace. It is worth noting that in the first half of 2025, only a couple of shooting schedules were completed, reflecting Rajamouli’s trademark precision and patience when crafting his films.
