Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Khushbu Sundar who is contesting from the Thousand Lights in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections is using all the options to create momentum for her win.During her campaign, Khushbu Sundar batted for the women’s upliftment in Tamil Nadu and promised to deposit one lakh rupees in the bank account of every girl child in her constituency if wins the elections.
Women should be financially independent. I will deposit 1 lakh in the bank account of every girl child at the time of her birth. This makes it easy for the girl child to grow up, Khusbhu Sundar said.Khusbhu’s promise is also the same promise made by the BJP party for the upcoming polls in the manifesto. In the manifesto, the saffron party had promised to deposit a sum of Rs 1 lakh in the bank account of a girl child from the families living below the poverty line.
Khushbu Sundar has quit the Congress party earlier in October last year and joined the saffron party. Considering her hard work for the party, the Tamil Nadu wing of the BJP gave a party ticket for the firebrand leader.The much-awaited General Assembly elections for Tamil Nadu for all the 234 Assembly constituencies will commence on the 6th of April. The votes polled in the polls will be counted on May 2.
