Kiara Advani’s Career Hits Pause: Focus on Toxic

After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kiara Advani has struggled to maintain her momentum in Bollywood. Her subsequent films—including Jiggu Jio, Govind Naam Mera, Game Changer, and the recently released War 2—have all underperformed at the box office. She had high hopes for the Telugu release Game Changer, aiming to make a mark in Tollywood as well, but it failed to deliver. Even War 2, which could have balanced her career trajectory, left audiences disappointed.

At present, Kiara appears to have only one film in the pipeline: the Kannada project Toxic, starring Yash in the lead role, which is slated for a Pan-India release. While the film features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi, questions remain about the importance of Kiara’s role. Fans are curious to know if she will be paired with Yash or have key interactions with other lead actors.

So far, promotional material for Toxic has been fairly routine, with little innovation in its marketing. Shooting is still ongoing, and the delay in the release schedule has created some negativity around the project. With her Bollywood commitments limited and a single project currently in production, Kiara’s visibility among audiences has reduced compared to previous years.

Looking ahead, Kiara will begin a long shoot schedule in Bengaluru from October, focusing on her scenes with Yash. Whether this film will help her regain momentum and open doors to new opportunities in Bollywood remains to be seen. For now, her focus appears confined to Toxic and spending time with her family, awaiting the next breakthrough role.
