YSR Congress ecosystem saw renewed activity today with the return of YS Jagan, and even Kodali Nani, who had been relatively inactive since the elections, stepped back into the spotlight. While his close ally, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, remains in jail, Nani took to the streets today, marking his reentry into the political scene.
In an interaction with the media, Nani reassured his followers that he is still deeply involved in politics and remains a key part of YCP. When questioned about his absence from public appearances after the formation of the new government, Nani responded, “Would you stay active with a mic if they remove your job? That’s exactly what happened to us. We lost the government, so we’ve been quiet.”
When asked about his possible fears regarding the so-called “red book,” which could have his name next for prosecution, Nani humorously shrugged it off, stating, “I am not scared of any red book or blue book. If they want to file 30 cases, let them. We’re not afraid.”
What raised eyebrows, however, was Nani’s casual attitude toward the arrest of his close friend Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Despite Vamsi being in jail for a kidnapping case, Nani downplayed the seriousness of the situation, calling it a “small matter” that doesn’t require excessive attention. His indifferent stance on Vamsi’s arrest surprised many, as it contrasts with the gravity of the charges.
