Actress Anushka Sharma, who has recently married her boyfriend and Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli had to once again face backlash on social media after the ace cricketer miserably failed in his first game after marriage.
The ongoing Test match against South Africa is the first game that Virat Kohli is playing after wedding. Like a dutiful wife, Anushka cheered her hubby on as he went all padded up into the field on the first day of the Test match. To the shock of the ‘PK’ actress, Kohli got out very cheaply, after scoring just 5 runs, and, followed the unwarranted trolling of the actress.
Anushka was targeted for Kohli’s failures in the past as well, most notably when he failed in the crucial ICC 2015 World Cup Semi Final game as she was cheering him on from the stands. The trolling was so vicious that Anushka and Kohli allegedly had a break up for some time. Now, as the duo have become an official couple, trolls have once again targeted the actress for Kohli’s failure, calling her ‘unlucky’ for the Indian Run Machine.
It’s sad to see the newly-wed Anushka face this trolling, say sane cricket fans. They wish Kohli, who will be playing three Tests, six One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches in South Africa, make up in the next games and save Anushka from harassment on social media.
