For the second time within a period of seven days, writer cum producer Kona Venkat had to clear the air about the film’s release via social media that Nishabdham isn’t releasing on OTT at any point in the near future.
Hemant Madhukar’s directorial, which was likewise set to release as Silence, was scheduled to go on floors on April 2nd. Nevertheless, the film was halted due to the on-going novel coronavirus pandemic and as of late, internet is flooded with the rumours about a likely release on digital streaming platform. With various Hindi, Tamil and even Kannada and Malayalam films settling on a digital release, Telugu film industry has stood back, except for Amrutharamam which got a digital release.
It was heard that other producers like Dil Raju too thought to wait as they don’t want audience to miss the grandeur of theatrical experience in addition from the profit stand point. Of late, it was reported that Telangana CM has give green signal to recommence shootings and theatrical release from June 1st week by adhering to the social distancing norms.
With rumour mills doing the rounds repeatedly on whether “Nishabdham will get an OTT release or a theatrical”, producer Kona Venkat clarified yet again on social media “Lot of speculations are being made on the release of our film NISHABDHAM in the media. We would like to clarify that “Theatrical release is our top PRIORITY. If the situation isn’t favourable for a long time then our alternate would be to release on OTT platform”. Hope for the best.”
Nishabdham features a combination of star-studded cast, which includes actors like Anushka Shetty, Madhavan, Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju, Srinivasa Avasarala and more.
