Ace writer Kona Venkat recently had a spat with Srinu Vaitla regarding the credits of Baadshah. And since then he had been grooming the idea of becoming a director. But Kona is not eager to jump the gun. He is first planning to direct a short film for experience. His first short film would be set in New York, with Indian actors. Two NRI producers Vamsi Madiraju and Ram Goli are going to produce this short film under Laughing Buddha entertainments. Since the short film is set in New York, Kona is eager to cast only Indian actors living in New York and New Jersey. “Need only Indian artists preferably Telugu speaking Indians living in New York and New jersy areas. Interested artists (boys&girls) in the age group of 20-30 can mail ur portfolio to :info@laughingb.com,” Kona Venkat said on Twitter.
Earlier Kona himself revealed that several top actors like Pawan Kalyan and NTR are ready to act in his direction any time. It is good to see he wants some experience before donning the director’s hat. All the best Kona!
