Koratala Siva’s Next Film Faces Delay Amid Busy Star Lineups

Director Koratala Siva finds himself in a complex situation regarding his next project, with uncertainty continuing to surround his immediate plans.

He had initially aimed to begin Devara 2 in June this year. However, Jr NTR is currently occupied with Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, and the shoot is expected to continue until the end of the year. This leaves no immediate dates available for Koratala Siva.

Adding to the delay, Trivikram Srinivas is also reportedly planning a mythological project titled God of War with Jr NTR, likely to commence towards the end of the year. There is also buzz that Haarika & Hassine Creations may formally announce the film on May 20, coinciding with NTR’s birthday.

With these developments, it now appears unlikely that Devara 2 will go on floors this year. The big question is whether Koratala Siva will choose to wait for NTR’s availability or shift his focus to another project.

Interestingly, Koratala has already narrated a story to Nandamuri Balakrishna, which reportedly received a positive response. However, Balakrishna is currently committed to multiple projects, including films with Vivek Athreya, Vijay Kanakamedala, and his ongoing collaboration with Gopichand Malineni, making it difficult for an immediate launch.

As a result, despite Devara releasing nearly two years ago, Koratala Siva is still in a position where he has not officially locked or announced his next directorial venture.
