Sreeleela’s Bollywood Debut Delayed as Shoot Progress Clarified
Sreeleela, who has already carved a niche for herself in South cinema, is gearing up for her much-anticipated Bollywood debut. She is currently working on Anurag Basu’s upcoming film, which features Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.
Despite earlier buzz suggesting that a major portion of the film had already been completed, the reality appears quite different. Reports indicate that only limited portions of the shoot are done so far. In fact, Anurag Basu recently clarified that the team has completed just over 45 days of shooting, emphasizing that the project has only just begun.
Initially announced with a planned release in December 2025, the film has now been delayed due to multiple reasons. The director himself dismissed claims that most of the shoot was wrapped up, calling them a misconception.
Given that the film is described as a love story, such delays are raising eyebrows, as projects in this genre typically don’t take this long to complete. Basu’s latest remarks have also sparked speculation about possible creative differences within the team.
Meanwhile, Sreeleela remains busy juggling her commitments, actively shooting for her upcoming South Indian films.
