Among the many initiatives the newly formed TRS government took in the newly formed Telangana state, the most revolutionary move was the establishment of the T-Hub. In an attempt to encourage the startup ecosystem and create a proper platform for creative ideas and investments, it proved very effective. A large part of the credit goes to the IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao.
He had set up this at the IIIT campus. A total of 750 workstations are currently occupied by almost 300 companies. Now it is full and a lot of demand is being seen for this setup.
Hence, KTR has now drawn plans for T-Hub 2 and 3. Few years back, a big complex was built in Gachibowli stadium during Chandrababu Naidu’s time. It is lying vacant for a long time and they wanted to make it a star hotel during CM Kiran Kumar’s time.
But nobody came forward to place their bids because of the Telangana agitation and the confusion element. Now, news is that KTR has announced to make it as T-Hub2 and it is much bigger than T-Hub 1.
As for T-Hub 3, a space of 10 lakhs sft near Raheja is identified for construction and it will take two years for completion. That way, in entire India, Hyderabad is the only city to encourage startups in such a big way.
