Ramayana Movie: Screen Time Rumors of Yash & Sunny Deol Debunked
Director Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up to present his ambitious two-part epic, Ramayana, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The first installment is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027. Although the release is still more than a year away, social media is already abuzz with baseless speculations about the characters’ screen time.
Given the well-known narrative of the Ramayana, it’s obvious that pivotal characters like Lord Hanuman, Ravana, Lakshmana, and Vibhishana will play significant roles. A few days ago, rumors surfaced that Yash, who plays Ravana, would have only 15 minutes of screen time in the first part. However, these claims were quickly dismissed, with insiders confirming that Yash’s Ravana will appear for over an hour in the initial installment.
No sooner was this clarified than fresh rumors began circulating about Sunny Deol’s portrayal of Hanuman—again claiming he would have just 15 minutes of presence in the first part. This, too, is unfounded and seems entirely speculative.
Most audiences are well aware of the Ramayana’s structure, and it’s natural that all primary characters will have substantial presence, especially in the first part. While the filmmakers might reserve certain battle sequences and climactic moments for the second part, all key characters will undoubtedly feature in the initial chapter itself.
Since the first glimpse of Ramayana was released, speculative reports—especially around screen time—have been spreading rapidly. But given the story’s familiarity and the scale of this production, these absurd rumors can be safely ignored until official confirmations arrive.
