As part of elections in Tamil Nadu the ‘Vel Yatra’ is being conducted by BJP, presumed to be an aim to consolidate Hindu votes in the state. Already communal tension erupted and few petitions were lodged in high court against the Yatra in the name of covid-19.
In this context, actor turned politician Kushbhu Sundar met with an accident enroute BJP’s Vel Yatra. It was learnt that a tanker rammed at a great speed and damaged her car at Melmaruvathur while returning to Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu. She and her niece Raja Priya escaped death and found unhurt.
She took to twitter to share that it was through god’s grace and everyone’s blessings she was rescued from the tragic incident.
The tweet read, “Met with an accident near Melmarvathur..a tanker rammed into us. With your blessings and God’s grace I am safe. Will continue my journey towards Cuddalore to participate in #VelYaatrai #Police are investigating the case. #LordMurugan has saved us. My husband’s trust in him is seen” (sic).
She urged the press and iterated that the container rammed into her and not the other way round.
Police are investigating to determine if there was any foul play or driver was under any influence to intrude Khushbu in contesting.
In another tweet she thanked everyone for concern shown and said she continued to Cuddalore.
