‘Baahubali’ is a name that needs no introduction. This franchise took the box office by storm and shattered many records in the Indian film industry. While the movie’s story came to a conclusion, the world of ‘Baahubali’ leaves a lot to be explored. As we know, an animation series that focuses on the childhood and heroics of Baahubali and Bhallaladeva has been made and is available on Amazon Prime Video.
Netflix took up a humongous project named ‘Baahubali-Before The Beginning’ which dwells more into the life of iconic character Shivagami and other storylines related to Mahishmati kingdom. It was started a long time ago but Netflix wasn’t satisfied by the output and scrapped the project. By that time, nearly 100 crores were reportedly spent and 70% of the shoot was completed.
But Netflix decided not to compromise on the quality and brought in a new team and sources say that they allotted nearly 200 crores for this project. Wahima Gabbi will be playing the role of Shivagami and from what we hear, lady superstar Nayanthara is going to play a crucial role in this project. The details regarding her role have been kept under wraps and reports suggest that she is getting huge remuneration for this role. The official confirmation is yet to come out but the news is going viral on social media.
As of now, Nayanthara is busy with a handful of Tamil films and she is also expected to be a part of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Lucifer’ remake. Her inclusion in this prequel to ‘Baahubali’ will raise a lot of expectations on this project. Let us wait and see what happens.
