A case has been registered against a high-end restaurant co-founded by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty for allegedly violating stipulated closing-time regulations, police officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The restaurant, Bastian, located on St Mark’s Road in Bengaluru, was reportedly found operating beyond the permitted hours on December 11. According to the police, the establishment was hosting late-night parties in clear violation of the rules prescribed under the law.
A senior police officer stated that a case has been booked at the Cubbon Park Police Station under relevant sections of the Karnataka Police Act. The complaint has been filed against the restaurant’s manager and staff for operating past legal hours.
Further investigation is underway, and officials have indicated that strict action will be taken if the violations are proven, as authorities continue to crack down on establishments flouting nightlife regulations in the city.
