Synopsis:

Life is Beautiful is the story of widow (Amala) and her three children. A tragic incident in her life forces her to send her children  Srinu (Abhijith) and his sisters Sathya(Rashmi) and Chinni to relative’s house. They soon become thick friends with Abhi (Kaushik) and Nagraj (Sudhakar) and go about their daily life, experiencing small joys.

Youngsters of the B phase block have a long standing rivalry with the arrogant rich kids of the Gold Phase of the Sunshine Colony.. And the rest of the story is the changes that took place in their lives (Including hero) after they come to the colony.  There is also three love stories which bloom there and what happens rest forms the actual story.

Performances:

Amala Akkineni is simply superb in the role of a widow who fights destiny. She looked gorgeous in the opening of the film, and delivered classy performance during the dying moments.Shriya gets a good role but acting with all the young ones made her look older. Anjala Jhaveri gets a next door aunty character on whom people go mad. A very little role.

All the new comers Abhijith, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun and Zara delivered a decent performance and added to the fresh feel needed for the movie. The comedy rendered by Nagaraju (Sudhakar) in Telangana slang was one of the major highlights.

Analysis:

The first half of the movie is a jolly ride. And the problem is with the never ending second half with less lighter moments but yes there are some excellent sentimental scenes more particularly towards the climax. It is unpardonably long and quite a lot could have been chopped off on the editing table. Narration tends to drop off to dangerously boring levels at a number of junctures in the film. Sekhar Kammula’s brilliance is seen in many scenes but they are badly knitted such that the feel of the movie is not carried.

Plus Points: casting, music, direction, cinematography

Minus Points: Screenplay, length of the movie

Final Say:

The length of the scenes and erroneous screen play will hamper the flow of the film.  A center crowds may take to the theaters because of Sekhar Kammula’s brand name, but B and C center crowds will find it tough to appreciate the movie.  However, for me, the movie was made with a honest intent to touch the hearts of people who are struck with monotonous busy lives. One time watch!

Fans of the legendary Dharmendra know how active he was on social media, often signing off his videos with his iconic line, “Love you all.” On Thursday, Sunny Deol, riding high on the success of Border 2, shared a special video message thanking fans for their support — ending it in his father’s signature style.

“Aawaaz kahan tak gayi… aapke dilo tak. Aapko meri Border bahut pasand aayi, thank you very much. Love you all,” Sunny said in the clip, set against scenic mountains, reportedly in Manali, where he often spends his personal time.

Released on January 23, Border 2 is inspired by the true events of the 1971 India-Pakistan War, showcasing the Army, Navy, and Air Force working as a unified force. Sunny Deol returns to the big screen in uniform, alongside Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark within six days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box-office figures on X, noting: “#Border2 continues its victorious run. Collections slowed on Wednesday noon due to the post-holiday working-day effect but picked up in evening shows. The film is performing strongest in mass circuits and heartland markets, contributing a major chunk of the overall business. Despite multiple new releases this Friday, #Border2 is expected to witness a healthy jump over the weekend due to strong word of mouth.”
