Synopsis:

Life is Beautiful is the story of widow (Amala) and her three children. A tragic incident in her life forces her to send her children  Srinu (Abhijith) and his sisters Sathya(Rashmi) and Chinni to relative’s house. They soon become thick friends with Abhi (Kaushik) and Nagraj (Sudhakar) and go about their daily life, experiencing small joys.

Youngsters of the B phase block have a long standing rivalry with the arrogant rich kids of the Gold Phase of the Sunshine Colony.. And the rest of the story is the changes that took place in their lives (Including hero) after they come to the colony.  There is also three love stories which bloom there and what happens rest forms the actual story.

Performances:

Amala Akkineni is simply superb in the role of a widow who fights destiny. She looked gorgeous in the opening of the film, and delivered classy performance during the dying moments.Shriya gets a good role but acting with all the young ones made her look older. Anjala Jhaveri gets a next door aunty character on whom people go mad. A very little role.

All the new comers Abhijith, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun and Zara delivered a decent performance and added to the fresh feel needed for the movie. The comedy rendered by Nagaraju (Sudhakar) in Telangana slang was one of the major highlights.

Analysis:

The first half of the movie is a jolly ride. And the problem is with the never ending second half with less lighter moments but yes there are some excellent sentimental scenes more particularly towards the climax. It is unpardonably long and quite a lot could have been chopped off on the editing table. Narration tends to drop off to dangerously boring levels at a number of junctures in the film. Sekhar Kammula’s brilliance is seen in many scenes but they are badly knitted such that the feel of the movie is not carried.

Plus Points: casting, music, direction, cinematography

Minus Points: Screenplay, length of the movie

Final Say:

The length of the scenes and erroneous screen play will hamper the flow of the film.  A center crowds may take to the theaters because of Sekhar Kammula’s brand name, but B and C center crowds will find it tough to appreciate the movie.  However, for me, the movie was made with a honest intent to touch the hearts of people who are struck with monotonous busy lives. One time watch!

Srikanth Odela’s Rapid Rise: From Dasara to Chiranjeevi’s Film

Typically, directors begin their careers with smaller films to hone their craft before moving on to bigger projects with top stars. However, Srikanth Odela shattered this norm when he was given a significant budget for his debut film, Dasara, where he showcased his impressive skills from the outset.

For his second directorial project, The Paradise, Odela has been entrusted with an even larger budget, and the film stars Natural Star Nani in the lead role. His bold vision was made clear with the release of the Raw Statement, which left a lasting impact on audiences and critics alike.

Taking on such a large-scale, ambitious project at this stage of his career is no small feat. Yet, Odela has consistently pushed the boundaries with his work. His craft and direction have been widely praised, with many considering him one of the most promising new talents in the industry.

The overwhelming positive response to the Raw Statement has further solidified Odela’s reputation, and before his second film is even completed, he has already landed the opportunity to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi in his third project—an achievement very few directors experience so early in their careers.

Convincing stars like Nani and Chiranjeevi to work with him is a remarkable accomplishment for a newcomer. Srikanth Odela’s work speaks for itself, proving that raw talent can often outperform years of experience in the industry.
