Ace director Puri Jagannadh seems to be strictly following his Guru director Ram Gopal Varma. Months after RGV giving open call to make short films on the line of Ice Cream model, director Puri now offered first-time directors to make film based on his stories within span of 10 minutes.
Like Varma, Puri too expressed that young filmmakers have loads of talent but they’re not able to reach out to film industry. In fact, Varma is a step ahead and even called for setting up of New Telugu Film Industry and stated that Film Industry could be set up in Karimnagar as well.
Now more or less, Puri too echoing the same voice. It’s once again proved that like Guru, like Sishya. At least, Puri should not face the phase RGV is going through. It seems these top writers have now entered into “writer’s block”.
