Tamil director Cibi Chakravarthi, best known for the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Don, once approached Natural Star Nani with a promising story idea. The director even travelled to Hyderabad to narrate the concept, which reportedly impressed Nani at the initial stage. Encouraged by the response, Cibi went on to develop the idea into a complete script.

However, despite waiting nearly a year for final approval, the project did not take off. Nani eventually decided to pass on the film, citing budgetary limitations and practical challenges. As a result, the much-anticipated collaboration between Nani and Cibi Chakravarthi did not materialise.

In a surprising turn of events, the very same script has now paved the way for a far bigger opportunity for the director. Superstar Rajinikanth has given his nod to the project, elevating it into a major pan-Indian venture. The film has now been officially announced, marking a significant milestone in Cibi Chakravarthi’s career.

In hindsight, Nani’s decision to step away proved to be a turning point for the filmmaker. Meanwhile, Nani has moved on to his next project and is currently collaborating with OG director Sujeeth on an upcoming film, keeping his lineup firmly on track.
