Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Aditya Dhar struck gold with the blockbuster Dhurandhar franchise, and now fresh comments from Jio Studioshave reignited speculation about a possible third installment.

Although an official announcement is yet to be made, Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios recently hinted in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that the team is not done with the franchise. She suggested that audiences could expect a surprise later this year, adding that discussions about exploring a third part are very much alive.

Earlier, reports surrounding the future of the franchise had been mixed. Actor Rakesh Bedi had stated that a third installment might not happen, though he also mentioned that the story could continue with a different cast if required.

Despite the uncertainty, excitement among movie lovers remains high, as the franchise delivered a grand cinematic experience and turned into one of the biggest commercial successes in recent years.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the two-part franchise reportedly earned more than Rs 3100 crore worldwide. Dhurandhar 2 alone is said to have crossed nearly Rs 1800 crore globally, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films in recent times.
