Lokesh: Do we really need to be bothered about CID and Police department?

Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary and former Minister Nara Lokesh has made several bold statements against the CID and police department in a recent speech. Lokesh said that once upon a time, notices from the CID were taken seriously, but now, those very notices have become a joke.

Nara Lokesh visited a TDP member to offer his condolences to, in East Godavari District, where he made these statements. Addressing the incident where his father, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was thrown stones at, during his Tirupati campaign. Lokesh said that the way the POlice department reacted to this incident was outrageous. He said that the Police department asked his father for proof, that he was attacked.

Lokesh said that the police department doesn’t need to wear Khaki uniforms in Andhra Pradesh anymore, and may as well roam the roads wearing YSRCP’s flag around their necks. Lokesh criticized the police for being unable to take any action in the Tirupati incident and called them out for asking for proof when they are the ones that have to look into the details of the incident and investigate it properly.

Lokesh also said that the TDP has a lot to learn from the YSRCP, in terms of how the Police department needs to be used. He said that Jagan wouldn’t have been able to successfully complete his Pada Yatra when the TDP was in power if the TDP worked in the same way the YSRCP is now working.

In recent times, Lokesh’s statements against Jagan have become the talk of the tow, and are greatly impacting the Chief Minister as well. During his campaign in Tirupati, Lokesh asked Jagan “Who Killed Babai (Uncle)”, and even challenged the CM to visit Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy temple and swear that the CM believes that Chandrababu was behind YS Viveka’s death. Of course, this did not happen, as Jagan had cancelled his Tirupati trip.
