Popular director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for delivering blockbuster hits, is stepping into a new role — that of an actor — with his upcoming film DC. Directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Sun Pictures, the film marks Lokesh’s debut as a lead hero.
According to reports, Lokesh is said to be receiving a massive remuneration of around ₹35 crores for DC. The buzz suggests that the amount includes payment for both his acting and creative contribution to the script. However, this has sparked debate on social media, with netizens sharing divided opinions.
During promotions for his last directorial, Coolie, Lokesh himself revealed that he earned ₹50 crores as a director, which has only fueled discussions around his latest paycheque. Some users argue that DC may not be as big as his directorial ventures, and such a high fee could inflate the production budget, potentially putting pressure on the producers.
