There is a lot of buzz in the Kollywood industry about director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming projects. Reports suggest that he is all set to direct Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in his 171st film, which is being produced by a producer who has previously worked with Lokesh.
There is also speculation that Lokesh may combine Rajinikanth’s film with his own cinematic universe, which would feature a star-studded cast including Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Karthi, Fahadh Fazil, Vijay Sethupathi, and Vijay. If this turns out to be true, it would be an unprecedented multi-starrer that fans are eagerly waiting for.
While there has been no official announcement about this project, rumors are rife that Lokesh and Rajinikanth will soon be meeting to discuss the movie.
It remains to be seen what genre this film will belong to and whether it will be produced under Kamal Haasan’s banner, Raj Kamal Films International. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently busy with two other films. His 169th project, “Jailer”, is being directed by Nelson and the first look posters have already generated a lot of excitement among fans.
He is also set to star in his 170th film, which will be directed by TJ Gnanvel of “Jai Bheem” fame. With Lokesh at the helm of his 171st project, fans are eagerly waiting to see what the director has in store for them.
