Superstar Mahesh Babu seems to be very confident of his film Sarileru Neekevvaru becoming a milestone film in his career. He says that accepting to do the film itself is one of the wisest decisions he took.
They initially wanted to start the project in June. But, it was delayed by one month though script was ready. Actually, Mahesh Babu took one month time to prepare himself for the army officer role. ”I wanted to look fit in the role, so I worked hard to lose 6 kgs.”
Army major role is a very responsible character and blending of entertainment and patriotism to it was a tough task. ”That’s the strength of Ail Ravipudi. All the boundaries he kept, he’s delivered it flawlessly. My challenge was not to repeat the Dookudu timing and do it freshly.”
The film was majorly shot in the backdrop of Kurnool and they’re promoting Kondareddy Boruju as one of the main characters. ”Art director Prakash did wonderful job. I felt nostalgic when I first went to watch the set.”
The feedback Mahesh Babu received from his fans was he’s doing more serious kind of characters of late. ”My fans wanted to see me like how I was in Khaleja and in Dookudu. This was the script that excited me. I enjoyed doing this character a lot.”
Mahesh Babu also clarified that he’ll continue producing films. About his future project, Mahesh Babu informed that his next will be with Vamsi Paidipally. He also clarified that, he met KGF director Prashanth Neel, but nothing is finalized yet.
