Veteran actor Dr. Rajasekhar, who recently returned to films after a long hiatus, has reportedly been injured on the sets of his upcoming project. According to industry sources, the actor suffered multiple fractures in his ankle after an unfortunate mishap during shooting and later underwent surgery.

The impact of the accident is said to have been severe, leading to significant damage to his ankle. Despite the intense pain, Dr. Rajasekhar cooperated closely with the orthopaedic team throughout the two-hour operation. Sources confirm that he is recovering well after the procedure.

Doctors have advised him complete rest, stressing that his injured leg must remain immobile for several weeks. “He needs at least three to four weeks of rest. Only after full recovery will he be able to return to shooting, most likely in January 2026,” the source added.

Known for powerful performances in films like Ankusam, Agraham, Simha Rasi, and his iconic tough-cop portrayals, Dr. Rajasekhar made a strong comeback with films such as Kalki. He is currently part of Sharwanand’s upcoming action drama Biker, where he plays a key role.
