The long-awaited SS Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu global action-adventure project, currently referred to as SSMB29, is gearing up for a massive reveal event in Hyderabad on November 15. Though filming has been underway across multiple countries, the makers have kept all details strictly under wraps—no poster, teaser, or title announcement so far.
Mahesh Babu sparked excitement online on November 1 with a playful exchange on X (Twitter), tagging Rajamouli and quipping, “It’s November already @ssrajamouli 👀.” The fun conversation soon included Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, leading fans to believe they are part of the cast—Priyanka in a key role and Prithviraj as the antagonist.
First-look posters of the characters are expected to release in phases, starting with Priyanka and Prithviraj, followed by Mahesh Babu himself.
The film is rumored to be titled Varanasi, though the title announcement is also expected at the event. Produced by KL Narayana under Durga Arts, with music by MM Keeravani, the film is reportedly targeting a global theatrical release in 120 countries on March 25, 2027.
