Mahesh Babu to romance three heroines in Brahmotsavam

Director Suparn Verma’s recent film Haq, released last November, starred Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. In a recent interaction, the filmmaker spoke in detail about the extensive research that went into the making of the project.

Verma revealed that Yami Gautam studied the Holy Quran as part of her preparation for the role. He also shared that the team spent nearly a year and a half understanding Islamic law to ensure authenticity in the storytelling.
Highlighting the intent behind the film, Verma said the research was particularly important in today’s “age of misinformation.” He noted, “Everybody has information, but you don’t know whether it’s right or wrong. In that space, I wanted Haq to be a voice of reason.”

Produced by Junglee Pictures in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios, Haq received positive reviews from critics upon release. However, the film underperformed at the box office. Made on a reported budget of around ₹40 crore, it managed to collect approximately ₹30 crore during its theatrical run.
