Malkajgiri Woman Missing Case: Cops Arrest Priest!

Priests or Pujari hold a respectable position in society as they perform various rituals and poojas for the devotees. Many devotees see them as a form of god, while a section of devotees see them as a bridge between them and the almighty as they believe that their prayers will be heard by the god.

Despite holding such a respectable profession, a priest had reportedly had his eyes on gold and killed a devotee for the gold she wore. As the victim is a regular attendee of the temple, where he works, it became easy for him to kill her and take her gold.

The spine chilling incident was reported from Hyderabad’s Malkajgiri area. An old woman, who comes to a nearby temple regularly, went to the temple on the 18th of this month. But she did not return. Her family members had searched for her and complained to the concerned Police station.

Reacting to the complaint, the cops have examined the CCTV footage set up outside the temple. Casually, the cops asked the priest about the incident. His answer made the cops doubt him. They took him into custody and grilled them.

Reports say that the priest had confessed that he had killed the woman and dumped her body on a railway track. It has been widely reported that the priest told the investigating officers that he killed her by hitting her with a rod and took away her jewelry.

When asked about the bloodstains, he reportedly said that he had washed away all the stains and kept her body inside the temple premises. As the body started to decompose, he took her body and dumped it on a railway track.

Finding the victim’s body is a big breakthrough in the case. As gold was missing, the cops doubted that there might be a robbery angle. Little did they know that will be a murder angle and the accused will be a priest. With all the doubts cleared, the priest and a gold shop owner, who purchased gold from him were also arrested. They might be produced before the court.
