Bollywood actress Malvi Malhotra, known for her impactful performances and graceful presence on screen, is now making her mark in the literary world. The talented actress has turned author with her debut poetry collection Alfaaz Sitaaron Jaise, which is already gaining impressive traction among readers and poetry lovers alike.
Malvi, who has long admired legendary lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar, shared that her passion for poetry and deep connection to lyrical expression inspired her to pen this book. In a heartwarming twist of fate, a viral video shows Malvi’s book placed right next to Javed Akhtar’s at a bookstore — a moment she describes as truly special.
Speaking about her journey as an author, Malvi revealed, “I actually wrote Alfaaz Sitaaron Jaise back in 2020, but it was officially released recently by Raj Kamal Publications during the World Book Fair in Delhi on February 6th. The book launch went really well, and the response since then has been overwhelming.”
The book, a rich compilation of over 105 Hindi and Urdu poems, delves primarily into ghazals — lyrical pieces designed to be sung. Malvi added, “Each ghazal is created with rhythm and melody in mind. They are very expressive, and I’m so glad people are connecting with them. So far, more than 3,000 copies have been sold, and we’re still going strong, especially with the current online book fair offering a special discount.”
Beyond acting, Malvi’s foray into writing has added a beautiful new dimension to her creative journey. With readers appreciating both the lyrical beauty and emotional depth of her poetry, Alfaaz Sitaaron Jaise is fast becoming a standout literary debut. Seeing her work share shelf space with that of her idol, Javed Akhtar, is not just symbolic — it’s a testament to her evolving artistry and heartfelt expression.
