The blockbuster success of Premalu at the Telugu box office has made Malayalam beauty Mamitha Baiju an overnight sensation in the region. Despite not having many major Telugu projects, her Tamil films and other works have also been well-received.
In a recent interview, Mamitha shared how Premalu not only boosted her popularity but also brought her overwhelming attention, including a surprising number of love proposals. She revealed that some people even managed to get hold of her personal phone number, which started circulating widely, resulting in numerous messages.
“After Premalu, I’m receiving a lot of love proposals. Some people found my phone numbers and started messaging me. I don’t have the time or patience to read all of them. So my elder brother, Mithun, who is Kerala’s state cricket player, handles such matters. We are very close and like best friends. He is involved in every decision of my life, and that’s why he reads those messages. Whatever love messages you send, they go to the cricketer, not this actor,” Mamitha revealed.
Looking ahead, Mamitha Baiju will be seen in Jana Nayagan, opposite Vijay, where she plays a significant role alongside Sreeleela, who portrays his daughter in the film Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. The movie is scheduled to release on Sankranthi eve, January 10th, generating high expectations among audiences.
