After nearly a decade-long break from films, Manchu Manoj is all set to make a comeback with the much-awaited movie Bhairava, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead role. Actor Nara Rohith also plays a pivotal role in this film. Scheduled for release on May 30, Bhairava is already creating a buzz, thanks to its aggressive promotions by all three lead actors — especially Manchu Manoj.
Given Manoj’s long absence from the silver screen, all eyes are on him, and he’s been particularly active in the promotions. In fact, industry talk suggests that Manoj has been overshadowing Bellamkonda during public appearances, stealing the limelight with his energetic presence.
At the grand pre-release event of Bhairava, Manoj’s antics once again caught everyone’s attention. In a surprising and light-hearted moment, Manoj called Tamil star Simbu (Silambarasan) during the event. Initially, when Simbu couldn’t hear clearly over Manoj’s phone, he borrowed the heroine’s phone and redialed. However, while speaking to Simbu, Manoj unintentionally turned the phone screen towards the live camera, accidentally revealing Simbu’s number to the public.
Within minutes, Simbu’s phone was bombarded with thousands of calls. The number, still visible in YouTube livestream clips, has gone viral on social media. Reports suggest that Simbu had to switch off his phone due to the overwhelming number of calls, especially as even fans from Tamil Nadu got hold of his number.
Adding a touch of humor to the situation, Manoj jokingly told Simbu, “Don’t worry bro, I’ll buy you a new SIM card!” He later extended heartfelt wishes to Simbu for landing a role in Kamal Haasan’s prestigious film Thug Life, even admitting on live that he felt a little jealous of such a big opportunity. His candid and fun-loving nature won hearts yet again.
While Bhairava continues to gain traction, all eyes are now on whether Manchu Manoj will actually get Simbu a new number — or whether the Tamil star will continue to deal with the flood of fan calls. Either way, the buzz surrounding this pre-release event has certainly added extra publicity to the film.
