Manchu Vishnu, who is contesting for the Movie Artists Association (MAA) President post, filed his nomination on Tuesday. Along with him, his panel members have also submitted their nominations for the forthcoming elections that will be commenced on October 10.
Before filing the nomination, Manchu Vishnu paid tributes to Dasari Narayana Rao, the guru for Manchu Family, and garlanded the statue of the legendary filmmaker. Upon filing the nomination, Manchu Vishnu spoke to the media in the presence of the panel members.
He was asked to give his opinion on Pawan Kalyan’s comments on the alleged troubles caused by the Andhra Pradesh government. Reacting to the question raised by the media personnel, Manchu Vishnu gave his views on the industry issues on Tuesday.
Reacting to the troubles caused by the government, Manchu Vishnu said, he didn’t see Pawan Kalyan’s entire speech but saw a few clippings from the interview. One thing is that Pawan Kalyan Garu had spoken about addressing the industry. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce said it has no relation to his comments. Telugu Film Producers Council said it is not supporting Pawan Kalyan The Council said the governments are like two eyes to them and they are holding talks with the government to sort out the issues.
In this matter, I disagree with Pawan Kalyan Garu. As a child of Telugu Cinema and as a producer and actor in the Telugu industry, I am agreeing with the letter given by the Film Chamber on this matter. In this issue, I am standing bride the Telugu industry, Manchu Vishnu.
Having said that, Manchu Vishnu asked about Prakash Raj’s stand on the issue and asked whether Prakash Raj is with the industry or Pawan Kalyan. He should say his opinion on the matter. Whom is he supporting? Just ask him what his stand is, Manchu Vishnu asked the media people.
I have the same stand, Producers are Gods. They are the ones who keep money and we should be bound to them. There is no industry if there are no people who put money. They should speak about this and they have spoken. They are holding talks with the government.
Manchu Vishnu said Perni Nani in his press conference said the industry people asked them to bring such a policy. No one from the industry had countered the claims. This shows that the bigwigs gave a representation.
Reacting to Pawan Kalyan’s comments against his father, Manchu Mohan Babu, Vishnu said his father should talk about this as the comments were made against his father but not him.
