Keerthy Suresh drew the attention of people across the country by bagging National Award in the category of Best Actress for ‘Mahanati’. She achieved this honour competing with Alia Bhatt (Raazi) and Deepika Padukone (Padmaavat). Even Director Nag Ashwin admitted he was pleasantly surprised to see Jury prefer Keerthy Suresh over Bollywood Actresses. Now, Everyone is curious to know what are the upcoming projects of this Highly Talented Actress.
Very soon, Keerthy Suresh is going to make her Bollywood debut with ‘Maidaan’ which is a sports drama based on the Golden Era of Indian Football from 1952 to 1962. ‘Maidaan’ is about how Indian Football Coach & Manager Syed Abdul Rahim made Indian Team achieve so much during that phase. This flick is being helmed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of ‘Badhaai Ho’ fame. Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta are jointly producing it. Filming began on August 19th.
Keerthy Suresh can’t limit herself to commercial films after the national glory. Signing a flick like ‘Maidaan’ and making her Bollywood debut in that way is a good sign. Hope, She wins the hearts of North Indians too..!
