With five hits in a row, director Maruthi is one of the hottest and in-demand directors in Tollywood. Starting from his debut film Ee Rojullo, all of Maruthi’s films till the latest Bhale Bhale Magadivoy have been huge money-spinners at the box-office. In fact, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy earned more than 3 times its investment for its producers and distributors.
To make this success even more memorable for Maruthi, BBM’s producers Vamsi and Pramod gifted him a brand new Jaguar car this morning. Tweeting about these special moments, Maruthi turned emotional and said, “I jus got new jaguar….it’s a poor persons achievement…my journey starts on a second hand atlas cycle to new jaguar…till nw…” the director also thanked his producers and those who supported him.
While Maruthi’s transformation from being a nobody to becoming the most successful director is highly inspiring, there is also a striking transformation in his films. Maruthi started out with films that had sleazy content and he was branded as a ‘boothu director’.
With a class film like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’s sensational success, Maruthi has now entered the big league and even wiped off the ‘boothu’ tag.
