Medico Suicide Row: Governor Visits NIMS To Meet Victims!

Everyone knows the sensation the alleged ragging incident reported from Warangal’s Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) had created in Telangana. The issue raised many eyeballs and several concerns were raised as many wondered how a medical student is also not safe from the ragging row.

The victim’s parents are alleging that no proper action is being taken by the cops despite the complaint and no information on her is also being sent. Though there is no proper information, a few reports say that her senior harassed her and forced her to take the step.

As another twist, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan went all the way to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) to visit the victim. It is said that she inquired about her health and also had a word with the doctors treating her.

The Governor expressed her concerns on the issue and said that it is sad to see such an incident and a probe should be conducted into this.

It is known that Chief Minister KCR and Governor Tamilisai are having a fallout and the Governor took part in TV debates too. Governor held Darbars at Raj Bhavan to know the problems of the people and the events were dubbed as a platform to target the Chief Minister.

As the issue is bringing a bad name for the Telangana government, the Governor went to the hospital and met the family of the victim. She allegedly assured support to the victim’s family.

Dharavathi Preethi (26) is pursuing her first-year Post Graduate (PG) course at the Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) college. During her training, she allegedly attempted suicide in the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital and was admitted to the emergency ward. From there she was transferred to NIMS and her condition is critical now.
