Sai Dharam Tej’s latest offing Supreme might have opened with mixed to positive reviews all across. Even the film had got decent openings on its first day. However, the happiness didn’t last long as the film failed to sustain the steam and saw huge dip in its collections on Saturday and Sunday. The film’s Box collections are not as expected in the weekend. Audiences seem to have rejected the routine formula film.
Usually, the collections would pick up on Saturday and Sunday considering the weekend holidays and Summer season. But contrary, the ticket windows witnessed a lukewarm response taking many by surprise. Apparently, the film managed to garner only Rs 4 Crore share in its first weekend and still there’s a long way to go. With Suriya’s 24 got unanimous positive reviews and the film being praised by critics, audiences alike, this too had its affect on Supreme collections.
Distributor Abhishek is expected to be losing a chunk of the amount he invested on the film. Director Anil Ravipudi, who delivered a good entertainer like Pataas, failed to repeat the magic as he ended up churning out a mediocre fun. After Krishnashtami, Dil Raju seems to have tasted yet another failure in form of Supreme.
