The reigns of Annapurna Studios production banner is gradually being handed over to the younger generation. If sources are to be believed, the Akkineni brothers Naga Chaitanya and Akhil are turning into producers from now on. Their names will reportedly arrive as producers from now on. As their maiden production venture, they are reportedly planning an interesting film with a debut director.
Bhogavalli Bapineedu will handle the production responsibilities and his name will also be seen in the producer’s list. Apparently, this film will have a Kabaddi backdrop and it is penned by a youngster named Prithvi who studied in Annapurna Film Institute. He will be making his debut as a director with this film.
News is that this script is written for Naga Chaitanya but the Akkineni hero’s schedule is busy which made the makers opt for Mega hero Vaisshnav Tej. The ‘Uppena’ hero is known for picking up different movies and we need to see how this film turns out. The official announcement regarding this movie is expected to come out soon.
On the film front, Akhil is working on an action thriller named ‘Agent’ while Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thank You’ will be released on 8th July. He announced another project with Tamil director Vikram Prabhu and a movie with ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ director Parasuram Petla. His web-series ‘Dhootha’ will be arriving in Prime Video soon. His first Bollywood outing ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ will be arriving on 11th August.
