The long-wait for the re-entry of Megastar Chiranjeevi into the film industry has come to an end with the breaking of coconut for Muhurtam shot on Friday. This has laid to rest all the doubts among his fans on whether Chiranjeevi would ever come back to films.Chiranjeevi’s son Ramcharan Teja, who is producing the film, has engaged the top-class technical team to make the movie, which is going to sets from Monday.
While ace director V V Vinayak is wielding the megaphone, popular music director Devi Sri Prasad is providing the background score and noted cinematographer Ratnavelu is holding the camera. The film is coming up under the banner of “Konidela Production Company” founded by Ramcharan. The film is said to be a remake of Tamil film Kathi, which was a mega success. The title of the Telugu film has been registered as “Kathilantodu” but it has not been officially announced.
Chiranjeevi is playing a dual role in this film.It may be mentioned that Vinayak had earlier made “Tagore” with Chiranjeevi which was a remake of Tamil film “Ramana” directed by Murugadoss. And Megastar’s fans are of high hope that Kathilantodu would create a similar history.
