Microsoft has officially launched Xbox Cloud Gaming in India, marking its 29th market globally and a major step in its mission to make gaming more accessible to everyone, everywhere.

The service allows players to stream and play hundreds of games directly from the cloud on devices they already own — including Xbox consoles, PCs, smartphones, handhelds, compatible Amazon Fire TV devices, and select LG and Samsung Smart TVs. With no need for high-end hardware, players can jump into their favourite titles instantly using a stable internet connection and a compatible controller.

Through Xbox Game Pass, subscribers gain access to a vast and diverse library of games, from global blockbusters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Hollow Knight: Silksong to acclaimed Indian indie titles such as Detective Dotson, The Palace on the Hill, and Raji: An Ancient Epic.

In India, Game Pass starts at ₹499 per month for the Essential tier, offering over 50 games, unlimited cloud streaming, and online multiplayer. The Premium plan, priced at ₹699, adds more content and perks, while the Ultimate tier, at ₹1,389, includes hundreds of games and day-one releases. PC players can also subscribe to PC Game Pass for ₹939 per month.

The expansion underscores Microsoft’s long-term commitment to the Indian gaming market, combining localised pricing with flexible subscription options. Xbox Game Pass continues to serve as the foundation of the company’s gaming ecosystem, now enriched with in-game rewards for titles like Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, and popular Riot Games releases.

Players can now enjoy a truly connected gaming experience across platforms — whether on console, PC, or mobile. Xbox Cloud Gaming supports multiplayer play, cross-device progression, and community features, along with accessibility tools for new players.

To start playing, users can visit xbox.com/play via supported browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari, sign into their Game Pass account, and connect a compatible Bluetooth controller — including the Xbox Wireless Controller, DualSense, or DualShock 4. Many PC titles also support mouse and keyboard input, while select mobile games feature touch controls.

Smart TV users can access the service through the Xbox app on compatible Samsung, LG, and Amazon Fire TV devices. After logging in and pairing a Bluetooth controller, gameplay can begin instantly — no downloads or consoles required.

With this launch, Microsoft strengthens its global cloud gaming presence and opens new doors for India’s fast-growing community of gamers, providing more ways to play anytime, anywhere.
